Wine Blending with Classic Winemakers

For Valentines Day last year my mom got us each a living social voucher to go to a wine tasting and blending at a place called Classic Winemakers in Lacey.  Last weekend  we went to go do it.  The place was pretty nice outside.  They pick up barrels of wines from different local wineries.  We tasted 2 whites and 3 reds.
Some one turned a little red herself.  :)
 Nick mixing it up.
After the tasting we went back to this room where all the wines were on tap.  Then we got to choose different combinations to try blended.  After about six different combinations we came up with the ones we liked.  For the voucher we each got to take home 6 bottles of wine.
 Neil putting the corks on.
Pouring the correct percentages of each into the bottles.

We then got to make our own labels, put little plastic seals over the cork.
Our finished products were: Hoff Estate, Neil's Blend, Jasmine's Farms, Banjo's Blend, and Casa de Sayulita, Clave's Inferno.

Headphones for all occasions

Abe is fascinated with the cat that lives across the street.  He was surprisingly very gentle, and the cat surprisingly didn't mind him following her around for half an hour.

I'm not really sure why he's wearing the headphones.

Sounders Fun!

This year we got season tickets to the sounders again.  We took Abe to see an afternoon game with Auntie Hannah.

Abe was just as excited to ride the train to the game as he was to watch the match.  We ordered him some headphones, because the stadium gets so loud.  He chose pink.

Waiting at columbia city station.  Abe wore his headphones all the way from home.
 Yay sounders!
Abe did quite well, and even managed to squeeze in a nap in the second half.
We ate at the food trucks outside the stadium.  Hannah got a torta.  (check out her sounders blue pants).
