We tried to put this advice into practice at 4am on Friday morning when Abe woke up. Emily put him back in his crib, and he decided to start crying. And cry. And cry. And cry some more. The Little Buddy cried until 5am when Emily finally went to pick him up (I had to get up to go to work). When Emily went to see him she found a giant gash across his forehead - it appears in his frustration and anger, Abe sliced his forehead with his amazingly sharp baby-fingernails. But he is in good spirits now, and his gash is healing nicely. On Friday Emily went

Sleep issues are just the worst. I hate the CIO (cry it out) even though it seems to be the only thing that actually works. An hour of crying and a big gash...I have a feeling it will be a while before Abe has to cry. Poor little peanut.
Well if that didn't give you some guilt about leaving that baby I don't know what would. Poor little boy. Yucky Banjo, I presume he went and had a bath right away. I would think that the mud would stink. Good luck with the sleeping problems, but I do see some karma in the works.
Welcome to the real world of "sleepless in Anchorage" My friend Maralynis looking up a really good author who wrote the best book with wonderful suggestions on how to make it work. I'll gert back to you!
